Robin Hood Financial Group ("RFG", "we") helps businesses understand and reduce credit card processing costs. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and how to get it removed.

What we collect

Information you give us. Our free tools and forms ask for some or all of the following: your name, business name, work email address, phone number, monthly card volume, and monthly processing fees. The rate, surcharge, benchmark, cash and flat-rate calculators only require the figures needed to produce your result plus a way to send it to you.

Merchant statements you upload. If you use our statement teardown tool or send us a statement, we store that document so we can analyze it and explain the charges on it. Statements often contain your business's account and pricing details. We treat them as confidential business records, we do not sell them, and we delete them on request.

Appointments. If you book a call, that booking is created through Google Calendar's appointment scheduling and includes the name, email and any notes you provide when booking.

Basic technical information. Standard web server and hosting logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.

Business visitor analytics. This site runs an analytics script from Apollo.io that attempts to work out which company a visit came from, based on network information. It tells us that, for example, someone at an auto repair business read our guide on processing fees. It is configured for company-level attribution only — we have deliberately left Apollo's individual-visitor identification switched off, so we are not attempting to put a name to anonymous visitors. We also flag when a visit reaches one of our tool pages, because that tells us the topic was actually useful. We do not run advertising pixels or sell any of this.

Why we collect it

  • To produce the analysis, estimate or teardown you asked for.
  • To reply to you and, where relevant, to discuss whether we can lower your processing costs.
  • To keep records of what we analyzed and what we recommended.
  • To operate and improve the site.

If you give us your details through one of our tools, expect us to follow up about payment processing. That is the point of the tools, and we would rather say so plainly. Every email we send includes a way to opt out, and we honor opt-outs promptly.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only so they can perform that function:

  • Base44 — hosts this website and stores the records it creates.
  • Apollo.io — our customer relationship and email system. Contact details you submit may be synced there so we can follow up and keep a record of our correspondence.
  • Google — email delivery and calendar appointment booking.
  • Payment processors and sponsor banks — only if you ask us to pursue a quote or an application. Underwriting requires sharing your business details with the processor being applied to. We tell you who before we send anything.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and analysis records for as long as we may reasonably need them for the relationship and for our own records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will, except where we are required to retain something by law.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message, or by replying and asking.
  • Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
  • Ask us to delete it, including any statement you uploaded.
  • Ask us to correct it if something is wrong.

Depending on where you live — California and several other states, for example — you may have additional statutory rights over your personal information. We will honor a valid request under those laws regardless of whether we are strictly required to, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so rather than quietly editing the text.
